SciFi and Fantasy Art The Fall by Alexandra J. Smith

I still wanna work on the background a little, fade the sky a bit more, maybe fuzz the line between heaven and hell, but overall I like this picture. Part of the reason I did this was because I wanted a pic that wasn't the usual dimensions(it's about 14'x6'). I had to scan it twice and put the two pieces together though. that was a bit of a pain. Prismacolor Markers & Pencils, Mechanical Pencil and Black Pen. Picture and Poem inspired from Poetry Class Spring 2004 You try to stop your fall but your wings fail you Feathers tear themsevles out and fly above you revealing, dark and stretched, the skin that you will now fly with But never so high again tears dance with feathers You reach and strain for them above you. as though they can give you back the honor you lost But it is gone now never again can you retrieve it Honor is gone hope is lost it is dark forever dark You are no longer at peace. Now cursed only to look, To always see the light above you. You are fallen, and you don't know why. It is so hard to rise But it is easy to stay here Welcome
