16 Feb 2002	BB silver_butterfly_3	Loading... I love this pic! But I didn't know there was a real non-Sailor Moon story about these two, what is it? Alexandra J. Smith replies: "It's a greek myth. A moon goddess (or something) named Selene fell in love with a mortal, Endymion, and asked Zeus to grant him immortality, the guy ends up in an eternal sleep and she visits him every night. I think that's it anyway, been a while since I read it you can probably find it somewhere..."

It seems somehow appropriate that it is in black and white, and I love the fact that the artist knows the original Endymion of Greek mythology. Wasn't there another less told version of the myth that says Endymion's eternal sleep was granted him when he wished that he need never do anything but think about Selene?
5 Oct 2003	Faith D. Doerr aka Lerune	Loading... Actually (because I just finished reading it) Selene kissed Endymion in his sleep and this caused him to fall into eternal slumber. And so he remains still, upon the hill, eternally young and beautiful, under the ever-watchful eye of she who he loves him dearly. My favorite Greek myth. And this picture is beautiful...I love balack and white sketches and thd soft lines here definitely set the mood of the piece. I love her facial expression... Excellent work. =0)
