| This is a poem from the perspective of a forlorn slave to her necromancer master, who though he lives in darkness can still look to the light. |
|
I watch you spinning Faerytales and weaving strands of light
I watch you give yourself away to spirits of the night
I want a little taste of you, bitter sweet or cold
So can I buy your dreams today? To very gently hold
I want your strong conviction, for even just a day
I want to feel the passion behind the things you say
I watch your tears so jealously, they fall and stain your cheeks
They give that man the power that his fallen nature seeks
Can I buy your dreams today? I promise to take care
Your dreams are very precious, they are beautiful and fair
When you’re at your lowest, you can still look at the stars
You can still believe in wishes and the encompassing powers
I want to be alive today, and see things through your eyes
I’m dreamless and I’m dead inside, my soul knows only lies
I want to drown in something that isn’t just deceit
I want to drown in passions, emotions fired with heat
So can I buy your dreams today? So I can see the sky
I want to see the stars tonight before I say goodbye
I wish to tell a story of the girl I used to know
Before they stole her soul from her, before she let it go
