The truth about sunset- what if the moon was alive and her lover was the sun? I thought that it would echo the meeting of human soulmates. As humans we are dying every day. So if we met our soulmate in everylife we would only be meeting to say goodbye again. Just like our Lady Moon her and her Lover the Sun...oh and don't forget the talking stars. All the things that the lovers never hear whilst kissing as the sun goes down.

Lovers meet behind the wooden wreck, house of the forgotten midwife
There to watch a fiery death.
His blood spread over the sky, weeping red of sunset
Darkened clouds of velvet blue pass over Him, uncaring
Aloof, as ever the clouds will be.

Lovers clasping hands, lips meeting in silent worship. They do not see that
The Moon has come to bid her lover farewell
He is all but gone, leaving only the stain of dried blood
As the sky gets ever darker and ever clearer
She waits above his death bed, her silver tears falling down.

Lovers gazing up at the weeping moon, fresh teardrops washing away
the worries of their day.
They smile as the stars come
Sparkling out of the lonely sky, one by one they come to lend their light
To the grieving moon, telling her softly ‘it will be over soon’, though sore
‘You will see him rise to watch you wave farewell once more’.

Excellent. What more is there to say? You have two lovers wraped up in a converse between moon and sun, it is as original as Shakesphere himself. I like how you keep the poem in an atmophsphere that makes people feel good while at the same time juggling the pain in the skies. I love how you connect them in a cool sauve way. --ellen
