They are the faeries

They were here before

Decorating mortal past

Bathing it in lore

 

They are the little ones

They are Leanen Shee

In every shape and size they come

The gifted ones to see

 

O’er the hills and Faery glens

Weave ancient magick spell

Never wander far from known

Nor wish by Faery well

 

For you will never know what hears

The ears of good or bad?

Your wish they answer as they want

But will it make you glad?

 

Mortal never wander there

To be captured by their song

For either time will stand there still

Or else it will be gone

One typo I caught perhaps.
"Mortal never wander there" --> "Mortals never wander there"

I think it is supposed to be plural. I think. Duly note it is after one in the morning, and I'm tired. So my brain is not functioning like it should.

I didn't catch anything else, meter and flow were great. Better poetry than I could ever write in me life. Great stuff!

I love this! It really captures the spirit of faery well and the last two lines of the last stanza, ' For either time will stand there still or else it will be gone' is an excellent way to describe the inviting dangers of changing realms. it reminds me of when Morgana gets lost in faery land in Mists of Avalon. i'm sure the faeries themselves are pleased!

Love it!!! I'm trying my hand at writing an abab poem.. and then I'm going to try a three line stanza poem.. I just need to find my inspiration. But, enough about me. I love this poem!!! Very very nice!!!
