| 15 Dec 2003 | Elminster | Loading...Great job, Githzerai are awesome. However, your description was somewhat inaccurate. They tend towards chaos rather than law, and I believe they usually have tails, unless I'm mistaken and thinking about Githyanki (I'm a Baldur's Gate addict). If you really like Githzerai, you should play Planescape:Torment. One of the characters, Dak'kon, is a fighter-mage Githzerai who wields a Xirth Blade. Lieuwe Boer replies: "Well as far as I can see I don't mention anything about githzerai alignment in the description, according to the d&d books most are at least non-lawful (though Dak'kon is lawful iirc). I never read anything about githzerai or githyanki having tails. But anyways, I'm glad you like the picture." | |
| 22 Jul 2004 | Matrim | Loading...That should be founded, not found, in '...the Gith who Founded the Githzerai race...' | |
| 22 Jul 2004 | Matrim | Loading...Well, no, neither Githzerai NOR Githyanki have tails of any sort, but they do tend towards chaotic alignment, except for in very special cases, Dak'kon being one of them. Dak'kon is a Zerth, a special sect of warriors who expressly follow the teachings of Zerthimon, the Gith who found the Githzerai race and freed them from Illithid bondage. Most Githzerai follow these codes to a degree, but the Zerth are basically the exemplars thereof. They follow a very strict code and law, as scribed into the Unbroken Circle of Zerthimon (or something like that) which is usually carried in condensed form as several interlocking concentric stone circles about half a foot to a foot across. They also wield Zerth blades, made of a kind of metal unique to limbo, called Karach, which they shape with their focus and concentration. Their armor is also traditionally made of the same material, but is less malleable. The more advanced in the teachings of Zerthimon that a Zerth is, the more control he can exact over his blade.
Oh, and I know what you mean about the puffy pants into the greaves. It just feels... I dunno, right.
| 9 Sep 2005 | Archangelus | Loading...Hi there, wonderful art! There is such a lack of good Gith portraits that yours does stand out. I hope you can take a few moments and submit your work to the following link:
http://www.planewalker.com/rrakkma/index.php
Planewalker is very nearly one of the few prominent resources for planar races out in the web. I hope you consider it since it would be an honored addition. And no, I don't work for them but i'm on a quest to try and scour the internet worldwide for good submissions on their behalf, being an avid fantasy fan myself. Adios!
