The letter from Jessebelle to her sisters
Dear sisters,
I know we don't talk too much. Some of you don't really like me and some of you even hate me. I don't blame you. I understand why.
But as you know that's what happened to our aunt Hillary. She told me to teach your children about magic. So I did the same thing she did when we were sixteen. I sent them a letter and they must have received them by the time I'm writing this. I want you to stay out of their decision of going to me or not.
If they ask about what we did, just answer honestly, but don't tell them whether to go or not to go.
I hope they will all want to learn from me and I hope some day we can be friends again, like we used to be.

Dear Alex, Ellen, Felicia and Wendy,
I'm writing you because you are all gifted with magical powers.
I want to invite you to my house, to tell you about them and to help you understand your powers and how to use them. Your mothers and I did the same thing when we were sixteen and now you are the same age, I think you're ready for it.
Your mothers know where I live, because I inherited the house from our aunt.
I asked them not to meddle with your decisions, so they won't bother you.
You'll know when the time is right to come.
