This is a medieval-style portrait of the fair Lady Eowyn from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. I have always been so impressed with the dept of her character and the way she stands out from the book even though she is a minor character.

wonderful! I love this medieval style, it fits so well into Tolkien's world, and you did it beautifully.

Stunning, original and breathtaking. Everything about the image feels 'right'. One of the most thoughtful Tolkien pieces I've seen to date (and I've seen hundreds) very well done.

I came back on purpose to see this picture, and I realized that I had never left a comment. *gasp!* Yes, I know. Shocking. Anywho, love the pic, love the style, and love the whole idea. If you ever do a series, I would practically die of happiness! 2 'Tis beautiful.

beautiful!!! looks like a medevil stained glass.... or a tapistry.... yeah, she has the greatest depth of character of anyone in tolkien's LotR.... but she is NOTNOTNOTNOTNOt!!!!!!! a MINOR CHARACTER!!!!! you know, without her, rohan would have fallen way before frodo ever found out the ring had any signifigance whatsoever... and souron would have made it to the shire by then.... so she's like the only reason saruman didn't KO rohan completely..... i will not have her insulted so!!!!! your art's beautiful..... way indpeth... sorry bout the rant... i just love her, and can't standt her degraded... and by the way, it would "Eowyn be of the Rohirrim," if you wanted to say "her of the people" Technically, it would be "Eowyn of the Riddermark" if you wanted to say "her of the land." Rohan is what the people of Gondor call them..... they call themselves the Riddermark or the Mark. Rohirrim means horse people.... but i can't remember if that's their word, or the elves'..... oh well.... beautiful picture!!!!!
