SciFi and Fantasy Art The Will to Fly by Lilleah Adora West

this is a poem (my poem): ** We all bear chains, we all have pains. Things that hold us down, things that keep us bound. Those who set themselves apart, who drift away from the norm, or those who are just born, set apart from the pack, are the first to go under attack. People fear those who are different, both in body and in soul. Those who look down on you, who frown at your difference-your separate outlook on life are the first to drown you. They add to your pain, they add another link to the chain, and then all the despair comes together like a pouring rain…and hope begins to drain. You drift into the dark, ashamed you are set apart, but we all are not the same, you are not to blame: * The darkness fell and all was lost as he could not feel a thing around him and his mind was shut off to the world. The darkness took him deep and far from the light as all was no longer dear to him…as all had been so harsh with him…his form shunned, his life abused, his heart stunned, his trust misused. Things were not as they were before and it becomes worse ever still. At first he did not fight, he just let the darkness take him until fear took grip of his heart like a poisonous bite, he did not fight until he no longer could grasp a single shard of himself…and then he fought. He did not let the darkness drag him down, and though the darkness still fell he fought it, he fought the chains and pains…. forever striving forward, to once again find the light.

24 Jul 2004	Leigh 'Katt' Berggren	Loading... It's neat that you include poems, but they're hard to read in paragraph format. Inserting line and paragraph breaks should fix that. There are plenty of tutorials on HTML if you're not sure how. =) Lilleah Adora West replies: "i did not know how to at the time, and i am SO glad some one told me, its (only without the spaces, i had to do that or it would act as a page break)and i plan to go back and fix the poem with breaks....do you know how to make the text turn up a different color, i have seen some elfwooders do it."
22 Nov 2004	Tracy Jean Kurtz	Loading... Ouch...seriously, my stomach is roiling right now. This picture makes me hurt- and wonderfully done too! The only thing I, in all my unworthiness, would do, would be to pull some [more] of that yellow/white from the top left down into the bottom right. I know it wouldn't make sense based on the picture and where he's coming from and all, but it would give the colors more balance. My meandering comments aside, this is brilliant. Luv your stuff!

Great Idea, I love that you'll attempt to draw anything even if its something your not so great at, meaning certain perspectives and anatomy, I see mistakes in this, but I also see a Brave artist that isn't scared to make that move. That is the fastest way to learn and improve on your art quickly, Its good to see that. That being said, Ditch this one.
5 Oct 2005	Reharalee	Loading... Yet again john, you have made it all too obvious that you did not read the damn story. Many of us can relate, i know i can. Great pic, great story, i was on the verge of tears as i read it, since it made me realize on just how many levels my life sucks right now. Not a bad thing, it's better to realize the truth and go goth than stay a prep with bottled emotions of self pity and rage.

He's so flippin' entertaining to bash (and he deserves it), how could i possibly resist?! Piccy remains amazing, john still needs to die in a hole!
