this is a scene from the last few chapters of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and the one thing i loved the most had to be the zombie like pegasus, the threstrals. for a while i despised Harry Potter because of the Threstrals - see i had only read the first 3 books and never bothered to get the 4th and fifth and in the summer of 2003 i began my 'Demented Horses' series of drawings and people commented saying how i must have got the idea from the threstrals and called my demonic Pegasus a threstral (even though it has feathered wings, if you want to see it it is in my fantasy gallery here under the name 'death on wings') and so i naturally got offended as i had NEVER heard of the threstral and did not want to be accused of copying, this combined with the fact i had not read the first 3 books in a long time (as in had forgotten much of it and lost my passion for them), combined with a natural spite for things that are overly popular and my comparing Harry Potter to Lord of the Rings caused me not to like Harry Potter as much any more. but after a while i began to take to the idea that the evil horses was just a coincidence and began to want to draw a thretsral but i told myself 'no. not untill you actually read about them' and so i got the 4th and fifth books and now i too have become a raving Harry Potter fan (they were AWSOME) and my spite is gone and since i have read about the threstrals i now can draw one and i am looking forward to seeing how they are portrayed with the fifth movie comes out.

Jeez, girl. If I weren't straight, I'd be in love with you!
You're so much like me, it's a tad bit scary...
But yes, I am an extremely rabid HP fan, and run my own chat/RP Guild called 'Veneficium' on gaiaonline.com.
I know everything and anything about the series, and I often times feel like a bit of a walking Harry Potter Encyclopedia...
Perhaps I should talk to someone about my HP addiction...O.o;

I picture them with more scales and not so hairy tail other than that I think the eyes and the teeth and wings are exelent.

Holy crap.. I thought the Link ones were great, but this is fabulous!! I draw horses, too, but I’m terrible at human hands and faces, so kudos on being great at them! I love the coloring and the cracked hooves were a fitting touch. ^_^
