this was an anime convention in Japan Town (China Town is a different place)San Fransisco CA, the convention itself was pretty bad, but to me its all about the costume contests! i got second place with this getup, first went to some kangaroo creature from Final Fantsay, no suprize it was a good costume too. i had to wear this for 6 hours! the contest lagged on forever! but while i can still see real good with the mask on (i made EVERYTHING by the way, no store bought aythings) i kept it on too long and was suffering from carbondioxside poisoning due to breathing in the same air over and over.... i felt sick i was tired and felt like i was going to barf, i thought it was hunger and stress (up since 6, it was at that point noon) and i told my dad (who is a retired fireman and paramedic) told me to show him my hands and my nails were purple... i could have passed out, or even died..... that was scarier than going on stage! lucily they did not call me up for a nother 5 minutes (i had the mask on and ready for when they call me, normally i lift it up alot and get enough O2) and by then i felt better. my prize was a Ranma 1/2 DVD set of Random Rasphony the latest series, i was very happy.... if not a bit ill.... once i had some tyeriaki chicken (theres is to die for!) i felt better again, nothing like a costume contest and a near death experience all rapped up into one.
