what would have happened to Link is Midna never freed him from his chains.....

i think the game should have left ya to fume over how the hell you were going to get free, Midna came in to quickly there should have been more time so the player would get a bit "freaked out" it would have created more angst for the moment.

my sister says this is illogical that link would not be so stupid as to hurt himself like this.

but have you ever seen an restrained animal panic?

my brothers stupid husky for instance; we tried one of those "head collars/halti/gentle leaders" on him and he walked the dog around the yard and the dog FREAKED, my bro tried to be firm with the dog and ignore him but when he got back up to the patio the dang dog had blood all over his face and paws cause he clawed at the halti so bad!!!

i think that link would eventually panic, the thought of never being free, not knowing if food or water will ever be provided or if he going to be left to starve and waste away. not knowing where he is or what happened, eventually his new animal instsincts is bound to kick in and send him into an all out panic to free himself.

his claws are shattered from clawing that the peg, his gums and tounge torn from chewing the chain, and his leg rubbed raw right down to the flesh from the shackle rubbing as he pulled to free himself....

but now as he has clamed down his human mind begins to return and he realizes what has happened to his leg....he begins to realize the infection from the new open would ground with dirt and rust will likely kill him, and even if he can free himself from the chain how will he get free of the cell with a wounded (if not chewed off) leg....he begins to realize he's likely gonna die here....
