[hands over a plate of cookies and milk] Louise Lindgren replies: "*munches on cookies and drinks milk* Thank you very much, Liz, that ’s very kind of you but there is no need to welcome me really. I’m already a member of Elfwood since five years back. I’m just trying to get a library shelf up and about as well. I’m probably going to shame and embarass myself but I’ll give it a try anyway. ;-) "
| 23 May 2008 | Liz Verde | Ah, it had you listed under the new members - oh, another writer, yes! ^_^ And it’s never embarrassing, it’s a great learning experience and as long as you get helpful commenters, it’s never a waste, that’s for sure! If I hadn’t already thrown/edited them completely, I’d show you the difference between my writing when I first started with elfwood and now ... BIG difference! Well, I’m sending many helpful-commenter-drawing-vibes through the ethernet your way ^_^ You’ll have to drop a line by my page when you have a ticket go through ^_^ Louise Lindgren replies: "I know, it looks like I’m a completely new member but I couldn’t find an "upgrade" button in my old profile. Very confusing.
Doing art for so many years it’ll be a big change to write during the yearly art summer hiatus instead. And I’m greatful for any help along the way. So, I’ll notify you when the ticket comes through. It’s not much, just two poems to start out with. I am however planning a much bigger project for the coming summer months. "
| 23 May 2008 | Liz Verde | Bigger projects are lots of fun ... I seem to have a few too many of those, which can be a testament to how fun they can be. What’s your larger project about?
Ah, I never was really great at poetry ... the urge to write poetry comes and goes on its own whim for me. Sadly, none of my poetry could really be considered in genre for elfwood so I haven’t had the change to get critiques and get better at it.
Yeah, they’ve changed elfie around a lot ... I don’t think it lets you upgrade anymore. You have to make a new account .. but if you go into your profile and edit it, at the top it asks for your login name for scifi and fan quarter and I believe that if you put those in there, it’ll put your two pages together so all your tabs, both for wyverns and your art gallery show up at the top of your profile ... but I could be wrong as I haven’t had my ticket for my artwork go through yet. Louise Lindgren replies: "Although my EW gallery says otherwise I like writing as well, I just don’t write as often as I draw/paint, so the project is to revise one of my own short stories and translate it to english. It’s a massive and daunting task but I’m up for the challenge. At least it’s something to do while the muse of art is let loose on pasture for summer. "
| 30 Jun 2008 | Maxine *piXel* Cox | *woot*~ you are published! yay! and congratulations.... makes a nice refreshing cup of Earl Grey in a delicate, fine bone china tea cup and hands it Louise with a choccy bikky - maXine Louise Lindgren replies: "*greatfully recieves tea and bikky. Mmmmm.... munch, much, munch....* Trust me, it came as a bit of surprise to see that the ticket got through. I was expecting rejection once again. But finally, the shelf is up and about! " | |
