I have no idea what this "beast" is called... yet....  But I think it's set in my fantasy world--same one that my "Series 1 Characters" and "Dwarven Captive" pictures, for example, are from.

Here's how the picture came to be.  A couple of my siblings and I decided one morning to each draw a "warrior."  For mine, I took the opportunity to make another dwarf.  I made the dwarf, made the awesome weapon, and then I made that weird turtle-bear-dinosaur...thing for him to hack away at.  Then I had a problem, because it just didn't look quite right, and I had no background.  I have a lot of pictures with no background, so I thought it was about time I put one in, for a change.  The problem was, I couldn't really think what to draw in, because the relationship between the dwarf and the beast was screwy.  It sat for a few weeks, until I had the idea to use the background to completely change the orientation of the subjects.  I put the dwarf on a tree limb, and then I drew the beast in a pit.  Then came another limb, and the tree by the beast.  I had planned to have an elf in the picture, but I hadn't gotten around to fitting him in until this point.  I used another tree branch and had him being all elfy pointing an arrow at the beast's mouth.  Then a bit more details, shading, and so forth.  Adjust the lighting in a computer, and there we have it!  ^_^

Each picture is it's own adventure, I tell you.  Absolutely marvelous how uniquely they all work out.  xD

Oh, and the elf is not Link.  I was wondering if it was POSSIBLE to give an elf a conical hat and NOT have him come out looking like Link.  I still can't tell, so it's up to you guys, I guess.  =P
