My Gateway Guardian picture has always bugged me, it seemed too flat. So here, at long last, is a new version. It's cropped, and obviously has more colors added. But I still can't help but feel there's something else I can do, so let me know if you get any ideas.

A definite improvement! But I think you might have gone a little crazy with the colors. That's just a matter of taste, however.

I think that some more shadow in the background would add to the sense of depth - but thats all I can come up with for now. Again, nice psychedelic colours - vibrant!

Little glittery bits around the edges, perhaps? Kinda like the bulbs around the mirrors in celebrities' dressing rooms. It would add to that 'lotsa sparkly riches' thing that she has going.

I love the colours in this one. Pardon me! I have been using the word "love" far too liberally today. That sort of think could land a man in a lot of trouble. Or a marriage. Anyhow...
I'm not much of a artist personally, s far as visual art goes, so I don't know exactly how one would go about changing this, but it seems to me that you would have a grater sense of depth if there were fewer *lines*.

The colors are wonderful. It gives this piece alot of life. I have not seen your gallery before. This one definately caught my eye. Thanks for the update on Bifrost! I really enjoyed looking at all your work 2

I'm going to agree with adding some shadow to the background. Also, maybe add a little floor? Not sure about the lines. At full size, the combo of lots of lines with lots of colour is a bit overwhelming, especially being about 18 inches from a 19" monitor. I'd move further back but the keyboard drawer doesn't pull out any further. Shadow the less necessary bits? Hrm. Yeah. floor would definitely help. Makes her less floaty like she's tacked to the wall or something. *ponders* not sure if that all made any sense. I should go to bed. You can come harass me at my site about it if it's too vague. Just you, Lisa, not others reading this. 12

The parts that feel strange to me are the columns on the sides. Perhaps if they curved inward like these things- ( ) -it would add a sense of motion and flow with the rest of the picture, which is very nicely animated. I really do like the colors though! Great picture!

This picture is really beautiful, especially with all the colors. Well done.

I really enloy the sketchiness of the lines but love the somewhat formal look with the many vibrant warm colors in this picture. It reminds me of the Hindu goddess Durga. Anyways, keep up the good work! 13

Somehow seems Cretan to me. Would like to see you do a pic of the Cretan Lady, commonly thought of as a snake priestess.
