:-) Lisa Coleman replies: "Heh heh, I don't do dances either. >2 The face probably looks wierd because of her tattoos.."

This reminds me of a tarot card for some reason. I love the colors you used and her dress kicks much butt. 2

It's fantastic...finish it soon, complements your stories!!!

:-) Lisa Coleman replies: "Any suggestions for what I can do? I keep thinking there's something not quite right with it, and I can't figure it out."

maybe include more colours and details?
like some inscriptions of prophecies of similar cryptic sayings, addings bits of maybe green and purple, enhancing the depth of the reds and yellows...
well...that's as far as I can suggest...you could maybe make copies of this piece and try out different stuff on each copy...

:-) Lisa Coleman replies: "Thanks for the input, I'll give it a try as soon as I have a computer again. My current one died, and might not be rescuable. 8 "

Dear, I think it's done! I like it the way it is! Sometimes less is more, and the style you have here really fits the mood of the pic. But that's just me ^_^

:-) Lisa Coleman replies: "Thanks. 2 I think my problem is that I have several other pictures in a similar style and color scheme."

Thank You for commenting on my gate painting. I think yours is better. I wish I was more familiar with photoshop, and had a scanner (and I really want a graphics tablet) so i could do digital work too.

My only criticism is that the whole piece looks a little flat, but in many ways that adds to the feel of it, so maybe you shouldn't change it.

:-) Lisa Coleman replies: "Nah, I think it looks too flat myself. I've tried adding other colors in the past, without success. But now I've gained some new insights, so I might pull this baby out againThe trick with Photoshop is not to be afraid of it, and to experiment. Just find a random stock photo, and start going through every single menu and palette that Photoshop has to offer, regardless of the aestheticness of the results. It is at least, a great way to familiarize yourself with the features."

It's funny...I like the colours of the revised one better, but the line of this one. I like the simplicity of line that this one has overthe other.
