LISA! i don't know what you are talking about! the background, to me, is IDEAL. it gives off all the emotions and mythologies and subconscious reactions to RED, deep powerful sexual sensual blood etc etc. it also incredibly high lights the black and white woman, PLUS, it makes it look like it belongs in a graphic novel (which i am a particular fan of _good_ graphic novels) i really like this one. AND HER SHOES! little did you know, i have been looking for a pair of dress shoes like that since 1995 (the only ones i have seen wer once wore by Betty Page, the goddess herself, and were on display in MOMA in NY)  Lisa Coleman replies: "My problem with the background is that it is so uneven. I got lazy and stopped filling it in. I love simple toned textures, but in this, it's obvious to me that I stopped in the middle and used Photoshop to fake-texture the rest. For another, here breasts are a bit flat and far apart (I don't know if her top is supposed to make that happen). The curves on her waist look unrealistic and below that, her pelvis is too short. I really like this picture. Though the arm holding the whip is bothering me. The elbow should be closer to the waist. Jab yourself in the side with your elbow...see? Also I know forshortening makes feet in stilettos seems maller, but I think they should flare our a little more at the toes and just be longer. Though I love the mood, and whips are always a good thing. Excellent costume design. | |
