The original of this, a Photoshop file that is ten inches wide, and 250 dpi and ten layers thick (at present) holds the honor of being my largest digital file, at 82.8 megabytes! Recently I've been doing some spectacular abstract work purely in Photoshop, but, since it is abstract, I'll have to squeeze it into my personal site at some point. Fortunatly, there are a couple that I thought appropriate for Elfwood, like this one. I saw a tree full of spirits, possibly of Elvish origin, and worked to bring it out. One friend agreed that it looked Elvish, but said she saw the inside of a spaceship. Another said he saw a man playing an organ in front of a stained glass window. Neither of them see the dang tree, which is perfectly obvious to me, but I guess it's like those vase/two faces illusions. Hopefully you'll see something interesting. Since it's my piece, it get's the Spirit Tree title, but you are welcome to see whatever you want, and share it with me. And finally, since this is such a large and detailed piece, there's a detail somewhere nearby in this gallery, in case you're a fan of lush, detailed textures like I am. 100% Photoshop, 3/04

It looks like a tree to me, and very elvish!

Honestly, I see the alien from predator standing in the middle of a vibrant emerald aura. I apologize, as I'm sure that is far from what you were expecting. That is simply what my eyes see and my brain described. A lovely piece, nevertheless! I am very surprised to see that you have not received a Mod's Choice yet! Another blossoming talent undiscovered!

The "trunk" looks sort of like a spaceship blasting off into some sort of warp portal.

The tree image is very obvious to me and this is a beautiful, rich, vibrant, abstract image! Love it!

This is great. It is hard to believe that you achieved this effect using just Photoshop. There is such depth to this piece, you can get lost just staring into it seeing different shapes and images that could be in this.

It looks like a gate, barring the entrance to ... another place.

Ten layers? Goddess, that's amazing! This tree is amazing! Like... The tree of life. I think theres something like that in qabbala? Yes? No? Not sure...
