SciFi and Fantasy Art The Fall King by Lisa Coleman

I was doing some character design for a club at my college that is making a video game. Ultimatly, they decided the project was way too ambitious, so they gave up on it, but here's the premeise: There are four armies, each based on a season. This guy is the King of the Fall Army. They are a race of cyborg-zombies. I decided to make him a body-modification freak. I've studied tribal cultures that hold pain and such things very highly. Such as the Native American Sun Dance, which involves suspending a man by his chest muscles and twirling him around, among other things. This is a study of his face, exploring some of the things I could do to him. The tiger tattoo was originally designed for the Winter Queen, her being a beastmaster and all. But my Art Director wanted it for this guy. I does add something. Did you know you could pierce your uvula? (that's the dangly thing in your mouth)

23 May 2004	Levi (Ze'ah)	Loading... Wow...yeah. That's something, man. Wha... He reminds me a bit of the antagonist (whose name seems to have escaped me) of Clive Barker's Abarat. He has the same skeletal features. Just out of curiosity, is this guy a masochist, or just very strong-willed? Lisa Coleman replies: "Abarat? I' don't know that, I'll have to look it up. I have Clive Barker's figurine, Camille Noir on top of my computer, though I found her long after I made the Fall King. She's a great inspiration, especially in my necromancer story. As for your question, he is most definitly both. In my response to your comment on my poem, I talked about blinding the Ego, and pain is a great way to do that, if you have the willpower to get through it, and let go. I do need to work on this guy more, he'll be an interesting character."
