SciFi and Fantasy Art Untitled by Lisa Coleman

No name for this one, but I was in a bad mood one evening, and decided to play in Photoshop. This is the result, and I am monstrously happy with it, if for no other reason than that it broke my dry creative streak. It is also one of my first really successful attempts at 'painting' in Photoshop. But it still is full of my trademark techniques, that is, gradients, layers, and filters, particularly polar coordinates, which really saved this piece. I can only hope that the subtle effects show in a tiny jpeg.

22 May 2004	Ze'ah	Loading... Wow. I can't paint in Photoshop. I can only collage and build on existing pics. Then again, I can't paint. I must say, I think I prefer your visual stuff even to your writing. This one reminds me of the snow sculptures at this big winter festival that we have every year in Canada. To me, it's sort of a symbol of balance: Ice holding fire. Lovely.

17 Sep 2005	LauraJerry	Loading... Hey, I've just been poking through you gallery again - And I have to say I really love this piece. To me it's truly a Madonna rendition, but instead of a holy infant, she is holding a glowing ball of light. I find that really awesome!
