SciFi and Fantasy Art Nightrounds, Page 3 by Elisabeth Mitchell

A picture I've been working on for a story for a comic anthology. Story by Lise Ward, artwork by me. There are two other pictures that go with the story, but this, the smallest, will be all I'm putting up here, for right now. I've experimented a little bit with combining the old etched engraving look with a bit of Alphonse Mucha and some Edward Gorey thrown in for good measure, and I'm quite pleased with this. The dark guy is Death, by the way, but he goes by Adrian. :) Done in pen and ink.

I like that it contains a lot of things and still feels like just one picture. The framework is genious. I like how it twirls and changes and still really work as a frame. Like the shadowing/pencilwork to. To bad parts in it at all!
