SciFi and Fantasy Art Desert Dragon by Kimberley Pounder

this picture always makes me hungry... desert...dessert...get it? oh... i am hopeless... anyway, this wonderful creature is covered in almost ceramic like scales to protect it from the harsh temperatures of the desert, it also has the ability to merge with the sand, so there's so telling where you may meet this charming chap, and there not usually so placid when you meet them, like this one... they don't get to eat very often...

If and when my books are published (I'm not saying that to sound more important, my x-bf has a gun to my back and won't take it away until I sent the manuscripts to a publishing company. Ok, he doesn't really have a gun to my back, but he would if he had one.) Well, anywho, if they are published, I want you to illustrate them for me, ok?
