This picture was... suicidal. I got about as far done as it is now, put it down, and found it crumpled up beneath the couch. Later, it fell out of my sketchbook and got run over by a car. Finally, someone (probably me) spilled soda on it. The result is a picture that looks worse than it is. Trust me on this- it's actually not bad, it's just injured.

Anyway, this was one of the many sketches of Carter that I start but don't finish. This particular drawing came from a photo session that produced lots of great warrior ideas. Go figure.

This picture is great... Itīs soooo sad what happened to it.

:-) Hannah M. Friederichs replies: "I feel really bad about the state of this drawing. I manhandle my work a bit too much. I'm working on that. My art has started a support group for artistic abuse."

aww...poor drawing 12
This is a really good sketch. The shading is excellent, and the anatomy is perfect. I say it's a difficult pose as well, and it looks so natural. Not static at all. God job! 2

:-) Hannah M. Friederichs replies: "Thank you very much. *bows*"

This is a fantastic drawing, it's a shame that you didn't finish it though, was your model standing like that when you drew him or was it off of a picture. Either way he's very handsome

:-) Hannah M. Friederichs replies: "Thanks. I would finish it, but the paper is a royal mess by now. I'm sure that Carter apprectiates your compliment. Thanks again!"

That's an awesome sketch! The detailing on his face is so good.......it's great. I can tell his personality, even some of his thoughts maybe, as he looks at the sword. He doesn't look like a cardboard figure stuck to a background, he looks like a real person who was sketched. Very very good job!

Honestly, I don’t see how a drawing could get any more photo-realistic then that, excellent job.
