	I have never figured out if this boy was cute or completely dorky. Perhaps votes might be taken. Oh, yes. And meet the hero of the novel I've been working on.

11 Oct 2003	Stephanie Shimerdla	Loading... What a great expression! You know what I might suggest, at least at first, to help with that slightly lopsided eye (and this really helped me)... I use a gridwork that I'll place over any references I'm using, and then a similar gridwork on my own paper and do it section by section. That makes it much harder to get proportions wrong, and helped me immensely while I was trying to learn how to improve my "people" artwork. After a while, I didn't need it anymore! I really like this one, though, regardless... it conveys a lot of emotion. Great job! Elizabeth Wyatt replies: "nodnod That's a good idea-- I should do that more often when I'm painting in photoshop. The problem with that technique, however, is that it doesn't work quite as well when you don't have a model to work off of... that was the case with this picture."
3 Nov 2003	Maisha 'Elenwyn' Foster-O'Neal	Loading... i'd say he's dorky in a cute kind of way. but NOT cute in a dorky kind of way. i like his hair, and i don't think his eyes are very far off, it looks like he just has his head tilted a bit. his mouth is a bit wonky, and his ear is much too big, but i like his eyesbrows, nose, and general face shape. overall, not bad.
