SciFi and Fantasy Art Mountain Goblin by Liz Carlson

This is Tsubasa. He is a tengu. He freeloads in a mostly-abandoned old shrine near the foothills, under the pretense of "guarding" it. In reality, he spends most of his time yelling at the kappa that get into his pond, kicking passing travelers into the bushes, and taking their money for booze. Sometimes, on rare occasion he's a little more helpful and imparts his random pearls of wisdom. But mostly he's a loud, bossy, arrogant drunk. He cooks very well, though he's far too lazy to, is allergic to everything (which kind of sucks when your nose is about five inches long), and has a very deep, deceptively sexy voice.

Since tengu are shapeshifters, these are three of his "forms". Technically he's kind of a karasu and daitengu in one, but whatever :B
