Old old picture, given new legs recently. Dunno what she's holding... Pencil sketch scanned and Photoshopped, and my first try at a decent background. Be gentle.

I like the idea for the stance, you have some real tallent, you just have to put some more detail in to dragons, give them a rough skin or scales most lizards don't have smothe skin. And talons on feet and hands are alyays cool, an the don't always have to be evil looking if your not goin for that. I'm far too lazy to give detailed scales to my reptiles.. But I could try for some sort of texture..

Wow... I love anyone who can do a dragon. (Mine come out looking all deformed) But this is beautiful. The background is incredible and the coloring on his spread-wing pose is awesome. Exquisite tail. More of him?Yay! I'm glad the coloring on the wings is apparent to someone other than me.

pretty! but, well, i mean, yeah, pretty! truly! and, uh, well, here's the deal. the dragon (who, i believe i mentioned, is pretty) doesn't have the same dementional quality as the rocks it's standing on, which in turn don't have the same dementional quality as the mountains behind them. the dragon (did i say she's pretty?) could use some muscle, while the rocks and the background, well, from a film maker's point of veiw, the need to be shot in the same lighting. do you get what i'm saying? and you understand that i think it's pretty, right? that wasn't gentle enough, was it. drat.hehe, no, it's good criticism! I wish everyone would say "yes! it's a masterpiece! perfect as it is!" but I know there's problems. Mostly I hate the cliff; it looks like a cartoon.. and those rocks, well! let me not tell you how long I spent on them, because it's pitiful. 12 I'm evolving. This is the first picture I've done that's really full.. and almost all completely in Photoshop, to boot..

Well, if you don't climb out on a limb every once in a while, you never get any fruit. Experimenting is good, so you can see what works and what needs work. And, uh, did i say that the dragon's pretty?

Oi. I like! My only gripe is that the legs vary in thickness too little. However, this is small beans. I love the head. Wish I could draw a dragon that didn't look like a large winged salamander. I love the colouring as well. That's what drew me in to this picture. Lovely

:-) Elizabeth J. Draus replies: "I see exactly what you mean about the legs.. I personally think the worst part of this picture is the cliff--ee. someday I'll have the energy to do it over again, without the cartoon-y thick lines!"
