Yeah well, you got me thinking about angels now.

Fallen Angel

Fallen Angel crushed by a load
too heavy for divine wings
trampled and kicked to the side
This arm is clay not godly flesh
this sword is iron not holy fire
but let this sword guard you
and this arm lend you strength
till you can stand and fly once more.

Hey thanks! Yeah, I'm having a creative phase at the moment and I'm rather pleased with the way that worked out. It's kind of neat on a syllable/meter level, came out near to being 8 lines x 8 syllables, which would be a square similar to the 10 x 10 I set you.... Yeah, of course you should still write one!

It's a good challenge for a writer, kind of similar to doing a crossword puzzle because you have to find ways to best express yourself within the limits of the rhyme, meter and syllable count. It's like finding a string of hundred words (that make sense) where any particular word might be restricted by having to be like "a word of three syllables meaning the same as "redeem" and which rhymes with "orange"...

It's a process of swapping lines and words and fiddling to find the best possible answer to the puzzle. These kind of puzzles are not only fun, they stretch your writing muscles. 12

And then if I have time I'll browse around and read some of your stuff. Thanks for the challenge Che.. Give me another one and I'm likely to go schizo on you! LolWalk in Starlight~E"

Sorry to hear you're sick. Get better soon!

23 Elizabeth A. Hefty replies: "Aww thanks Che.. I'm doing better today. I think the expression "worried sick" isn't as much an expression as it is a real ilness *rolls eyes*Walk in starlight~E"

Hope you're feeling better. I got sick as a dog last week after trying too hard at a work trial, and drinking too much coffee. Oh well.

I've just finished a new story called The Astronaut which is wending it's way through the Moderators. But I can email you and advance copy if you're interested.

Che

23 Elizabeth A. Hefty replies: "Isn't being sick just the absolute PITS? x_x Glad to hear you're feeling better though!
Sure I'd love an advance copy. Long as you don't mind my comments about "Oh Che that totally sucked.." LOL Just joking. Thanks for asking though!!
It looks like I won't be updating as soon as I thought... I discovered that I'm two lessons behind in one of my courses and the other one has lessons that are 150-200 pages apiece!! Needless to say that there's not much time for writing outside my studies.

Aww... HTML won't work???
Then my 'perfect square' poetry will just have to settle for being rectangular-shaped.
Eight lines per verse, eight syllables per line. Topic: angels.

Midnight wings, eyes of jet and coal.
Bringer of death in the darkness.
Blade of ages past and future.
Angel of Death, hands stained with blood.
Immortal torment - tormented.
Assassin of the wayward soul.
Lover, protector, sword and shield.
Murderer, killer, shadow. Friend.

For Light and Dark are Dark and Light
Two souls in tandem, thus complete
Two so joined are threefold stronger
Than one and one apart can be.
Each the counter to the other
The two parts that create the whole
Ah, Light and Dark are Dark and Light
How strong is the blood of Angels!

Ivory, satin, starlight, silk.
Wings of moonrise, pure, soft as snow.
Eyes that see everything, smiling.
Heal the evil with your sweet touch.
Find me, save me, don't turn away.
No more nightmares, please no more dreams.
Soothe my mind and give to me peace.
Light in the darkness, let me sleep.

Death is dark, dancing in the mind
Death is dark, whispers in the soul
Death is dark, beauty chilling cold
Death is power, nothing to fear
When Death is thirsty, blood shall flow
Intoxicating kiss of pain
Death is the truest form of love
It's true - Immortals still can die

23 Elizabeth A. Hefty replies: "Lovely darling!! I think it quite nice ^_^ 'Course I already told you that yesterday. I'll talk to you tomorrow.... After my filling. Yuck

I love you

I've updated my shelf. There's a new story called bar brawl. I'd be grateful if you'd have a look 2. The endings a bit rushed but i hope you like it.
