She's got a nifty dress on, too. ^-^ Logan Pickup replies: "Lol, they might look like they can support her, but they can't unless she's about the size of a fly or something, which she might just be Realistic wing size hasn't bothered me a great deal. I just like big wings And thank you about the dress, I'm never sure about that sort of thing."

The coloring (not only the simple color scheme itself, which I love - especially in a world chaotic with so much unnecessary color and vibrancy - , but also the use of various levels of saturation of color that were used to describe space so elegantly, and the professional technique of blending that you used) is fantastic. [oh yeah. me. college girl. learnin'. uh-huh.] My only qualm lays in the balance of this portrait. Obviously, you left quite a region of open space to the left of the lovely character to give a sense of - ah, space, right? Like she's alone in the world surrounded by nothingness. Cool. Great. Me. Lovin' it. But that makes the right half of the pic really heavy. And now that I see myself typing this, it doesn't seem so important anymore. Maybe I'm really saying all this just to hear the sound of myself typing... It's beautiful. KUTGW! Logan Pickup replies: "Yep, only a couple of hours. Tickets have been going really fast - some people have had to wait whole minutes sometimes, apparently.
Thank you, I have so much trouble with colour sometimes, it's great you think so highly of it. And that you picked up on the saturation-depth thing, I didn't think there was enough depth in the picture to see that, but I have been doing it ever since I found out about it. When I remember to, that is. Professional blending technique? Sweet, I won't argue.
Balancing, pah. I don't hold with that fancy college stuff But there are reasons, which surprises me - there has to be so much emptiness to balance the figure, if there was any less, it'd look even more unbalanced, but I don't know a whole lot about that sort of thing. Seemed like a good idea at the time. That alone in the world thing was something I was aiming for, I wanted her to have a sort of quiet, irrepressible strength.
It's not fair, you know, that you get to go to college and learn all these cool things about colour and balance and stuff.
Thank you for your comment, I'm glad you stopped by!"
