I've decided I like this little space. Sure, I don't have my own gallery at Elfwood anymore, but I can settle for one of your pictures. So this one's mine. Any time I feel like saying something, rather than reloading my bio page (which no longer exists), I'll just come here.

I really like this sphinx! I never thought it would look like that, I always drew them with the traditional ancient Egyptian black hair with the bangs and lion's body... It's really cool and original!!

To truly depict a creation of wonder... you must first understand the true beauty of the creature. The body of a lion, the wings of an eagle, the face of man... with each essential item there lies truth and symbol. The lion stands for courage, the eagle... strength and perception, man... wisdom and honor. You are mearly lacking in two qualities.

I don't think the proportions are that bad, in fact there good I know i could not even get close to that quality.

I am guessing by the work that you are middle school or very early high school. Your proportion is decent, however your depiction of anatomy is poor. Also for a female, you have made her upper torso very masculine. Her left arm also appears to be broken. I don't think you wanted that. Your use of values on the rocks are very nice, but your sky appears rushed and poorly blended. Facial features are without detail. For a young artist, you show talent. You need to really focus on some art classes rooted in the elements of art and principles of design. I am guessing (again) that with your talent, if you practice, you can teach yourself anatomy.
