Of course the idea and composition are both really super cool, but what I especially like about this piece is the style that it was done in (you have such a "painterly" texture and flow appearing in your tonal transitions that are just beautiful) and the fact that the background space, though it's rather minimal, is not entirely plain. The fact that it gets so light in the center of the space makes it seems to me like this is all under water and light is creeping through the currents to spy on the event. Creepy but cool. Kutgw! Logan Pickup replies: "Thanks! I did this quicker than I normally do and didn't smooth everything out, but I think that's something I should do more often. It makes it easier to focus on the whole of the picture instead of getting lost in the details, which always happens when it takes too long.
Creepy is always cool." | |
