	This was for my daughter, Mandy, who commented, 'He's an elf, right? There should be a book on Fairytales!' I hastily adlibbed:'Well, he's supposed to be studying, the one he's reading is a fairytale book!' That satisfied her... Paintbrush Pro again.

5 Aug 1998	Lora	Loading... I was thinking of one of those little, corner of the page illustrations in a children's book so I wanted to keep it simple. What can I do to make it better? Help!
30 Aug 1998	Mark Ivan Cole, Gallery 3	Loading... Simple is good. You can still make it rich while keeping it simple--range of color, more contrast in your value scheme. One of the things this picture struggles with that some of your others don't is a slight skewing of the figure. The simplest way to fix this is to flip the picture horizontally and see where it looks wrong. Your eye will see it right away. I have to do this all the time, sometimes drawing things backwards and upside down to get them right. Great idea, though! I love the concept.

And I dun think she was going for the whole realistic aspect but more of the whole OMG THIS IS SO KUh-YOOTE SHOULD BE PUT ON FAERIE TALE BOOK THING! DUN BE MEAN TO MUH MUMMA!
