There's a story about a man whose daughter was in Kindergarten. On Open House Night at the school he was amazed at the art work of the 5 year old students. It was really good! The next year, he went to the Open House Night again and was dismayed to see that his daughter and all the other students had regressed to drawing like typical 6 year olds. He went back to the kindergarten teacher and asked her to explain this phenomenon. She smiled and said: 'I just knew when to take the pictures away from them.' I wasn't sure this picture was done, but I've been told it is. I guess there are times we all need someone to take the picture away from us. Thanks!

I think it is sad...

to be honest I'm not crazy about the bearded man in he forest - but the horse and woman are a mazingly well done - her face is beautiful and the way her cloak falls is terrific. the white horse is a great anchor the way he pulls your eyes toward them and hw his head is down as if it's been a long journey.

This picture is my favourite out of everything I've seen on this site! It is perfect for an RPG character of mine on lotrplaza.com. I love the horse! It seems to follow its master, trusting her unconditionally. I love the woman's clothes as well. This is a gorgeous picture. I love the face on the tree that's just right there, yet seeming so far away...brilliant!

*singing* 'There's a somebody I'm longing to see, I hope that he turns out to be someone to watch over me...' Am I the only one who got that song out of the title? 10 to you, oh evil Gershwin...

Anywho, me likes! Me likes a lot! I love how you did the cloak - it gives the appearance of being velvet, at least to me. And that makes me all warm and happy inside, because I like velvet cloaks. Her expression is wonderful, the horse is cool, and the bearded guy is kind of creepy, but awesome at the same time. And I mean awesome as in I'm looking at it in awe. Yeah, I've confused myself now. Anyway, please keep up the great work!

Dang it, now I have Gershwin songs stuck in my head.

ok, i have to say that ur art has potential however on this particular piece i would suggest that u focus far more on the hair, cloth and on the shape and coloration of the horse, definately center on a smoother transition between the lights and darks here. Overall, this is a good piece its just that u need to spend more time on it.

Wow...
This is VERY special!

I absolutely ADORE this. Soooooooooooo much!

I didn't get the explanation thingy at the top the 1st time round. But then I read it again & understood. I wish that I have someone who knows when to take my pictures away from me! (well... I do. But I always mess with them anyway!)

Actually, I'm Gail's daughter - sneaking on her computer and instead of goingt o my Uni site - thought I;d check out where she'd been lately. Sorry Mum.
This reminds me of my mother's central character, Megwin, Green Mantle. She travels the kingdoms, healing the land but there's a sadness about her that I can see here too.
