SciFi and Fantasy Art My Characters in Les Miz by Linnea S. Abernathy

Okay...My school did Les Miserables for their musical, and one day when they were announcing ticket sales, I was struck by inspiration. And here is the result. The characters are from a comic-strip-in-potential that I've got. I've drawn them as the characters that I felt they most resemble. TOP (left to right): Midnight as Inspector Javert (Don't worry, he'd complain whatever he got), Mike as Fantine (Her name is pronounced Me-Kay, the babes-in-arms are part of her character and are indisposable, and I couldn't remember Fantine's costume, so I dressed her up as a 'Lovely Lady'), and Hobo as Jean Valjean (His real name is Phillip Magee, and no, he doesn't normally have a beard.) BOTTOM (left to right): Smokey as Young Cossette, Kally Katt as Eponine (She normally wears a tee-shirt saying 'HI,' hence the button) and B.P. as Gavroche.

I took one look at the picture and identified them all before I checked to see if I was right (though Gavroche was a hard one to get lol!) dances I now love Les Mis - I just performed it with my school this week (I was Madame Thenardier (hehe)) and we've seen the musical and the entire cast know all the numbers... our Valjean is still found singing 'Stars' (his favourite song) two days on!
24 Apr 2005	Anon.	Loading... This is stupid. I'm sorry, but this is stupid. I mean, Les Miserables is a very historically accurate and wonderful book---I'm in the musical myself, this year at school, and it's going to be about three hours long---but I mean, damn. I'm sorry, but you horribly degraded such a powerful book by turning these certain characters into those little clear, nondescriptive, completley undetailed, silly cat-thing. Goodness gracious.
