Very lovely composition - reminds me a little of the Anima picture, and also, as Rebecca says above, of a stained glass window, especially the top. His expression is very calm and serene - almost too much so, would have thought he would be screwing up his face in pain, but I guess if this is his redemption, he has accepted it, and is at peace. Either is fair!
