This painting was more or less a test, so I decided to keep it simple. I like simple composition anyway :-)
I don’t have a story behind this piece, other than it has got a more modern fantasy theme than normal from me. Perhaps this shows a cheerleader doing her side-job?

Painted during a couple of evenings in Photoshop CS2 with a Wacom tablet. Reference used for the pose.

I agree with the comment above, the legs seem to be a little too short and the head might be a little too big. Also, the legs are a bit odd at the back of the knees, they remind me of the joints on a doll. It detracts some from what is otherwise a unique and beautiful piece. The skirt is amazingly crafted as are the clouds.

Hi henning, this is a cute piece, and I like the lighting on it, however I think you have some anatomical flaws, especially her legs, which seem not to be the same length. The clouds looks great.

Wow. amazing picture you have here, I cant believe how amazing your gallary is.... *TEN gold kudo stars* I was pondering if you would allow me to use this picture as a referance for a character in a story I am working on, I have been battling with her for ages and when I saw this the whole thing clicked.

rare to see a reverse/side angle portrait (well detailed & rarely seen features such as back & feet)... excellent depiction of ’cloud worker’ with a touch of magic... Well done...

This is a very nice pic. I love the detail that you have done in this pic. The colors are amazing and so realistic. Very beautiful.
