WOW! Your definately found your style of art and it is wonderful. I realy realy realy love your stuff! You've got to be a profesional, if your not then you have profesional grade skills. Speaking of skills, they are amazing and if your so inclined could you give a few pointers to someone who's still trying to find his style.
Even if your not inclined your stuff is excelent.

:-) Victor L. Castro replies: "Hello Dennis,I thank you so much for all of your compliments.
As far as 'Style' goes, well that's a common topic and one that is best (from my expeierence to not worry about), successful artists and their respective styles is really an amalgam of that persons, favorite artist& teachers (if art courses were taken), whose work they admire, and whose techniques they may practice or keep in mind just to learn how they do what they do.
Practice, study, learn, and you will find that you will develope a style unique to yourself, born of many influences, just as long as you don't copy any one particular artist's technique. For example while I love Frank Frazetta, if I copied his style alone, I'd never be anything more then a 2nd rate clone of Frazetta at best, and there can only be one."

No references? You're doing a great work, I'll tell you that. I like the style of yours. It's simple and yet packed with details. Every piece is well made and the shading tecnique is a sure thing to admire. I also like the neat ideas you have; The RPG charachter in waiting is beautiful and the knight quite lost in time and in the same time right in his element is really thoughtful. The hobbit lass about to bath is also a great piece of yours. The mushroom's expression is priceless! Who knew taking a bath was so extraordinary? 1

Keep up the great work!
Cheers!

13 Victor L. Castro replies: "  Hey thank you for taking the time to comment Louise. 2
Yep no references used on my figures, just a bit of knowledge of anatomy.
I'm grateful for your overly gracious comments.
I'll try and you do the same thing!
Cheerio!"

You've got some excellent work here ^_^ Your style reminds me a little of John Tenniel... famous for the illustrations in later copies of Alice in Wonderland.

11 Victor L. Castro replies: "I thank you very much for your compliments and I'm pleased that you regard my work kindly.
Your remark about John Tenniel had me curious and I did some research, I was pleased to see that he was from the 'Golden age of illustration' the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I'm sure I saw his work at sometime or other as a younster and although I can in no way compare to these wonderful illustrators/artist of the past I truly admire them all and I thank you for bringing Mr.Tenniel to my attention."

Hello fellow Floridian. Hope you and your family survived the past couple of years. I love your style. I like the black and white sketches more than colored ones. I love the shading and backgrounds. Hope to see more soon.
