What kind of style is that?! Your concepts are good, however. You have many pictures, but many seem to be the same thing, with a new outfit, or skin colour, or something else. You have talent with colouring, but you should branch out in your style. "Those who dare to reach out, grasp the golden prize."

Leonie van de Poppe replies: "I dunno what style im using actually, some see it as some sort of manga or anime combined with american strip features but I havent got a clue well lets say I just love the style Im using and Im glad the way I draw and color, I try to new characters but the style i do is just fun to do so I dont think I stop doing that it makes me uniqe i think but thanks for giving me advice "

You definitely have a talent for reproduction... while it is repetitive and "some" may say down right boring, it is the craft for reproduction of same over same over which is needed for mass appeal styles of comic images... have you considered such? Your ability to produce the same mindless-unimaginative-boring image over and over and over, with bland colours must appeal.... to someone??... and in years to come it may be that these images will be infecting every transient sense... over and over and over.... You definitely have a talent for reproduction... while it is repetitive ........

Yes, your style may be repetitive, but there's actually a certain talent to be able to make the same characters look the same all the time. If comic book artists and animators couldn't repeat the look of a character the comic or cartoon / feature would have jarring look to it.

Your art is bold and colorful and your characters are nicely drawn. In time, you will improve so keep drawing. But most important, enjoy creating!

I stumbled across one of your new pictures-- again. Personally, I don't like the character design, but so what, that's just personal taste. I *do* think as I said before, you are a good artist, and a productive artist. Have you thought about doing animation? And since you are fast at making these, you could also meet the demands of being a storyboard artist.

You could work for animation studios, live action in TV or film, or even a production house for shorts, film, and commercial TV spots. You could do a lot with your style of art, if you wanted to persue something like that. So keep drawing!

Leonie van de Poppe replies: "well yeah a style is just a matter of taste I agree on that thank you for your kind words, i never actually think of animation or working for a studio since well its just my hobby, its not that its not a dream of mine to be famous and earn money with my drawings, but it isnt realistic to think that but thanks for finding that and I will keep on drawing "

I have seen your work flashing around in the new additions for ages. (sometimes it seems daily!) I can see from looking around that the style is starting to, not change, but be more defined (Little things like shadows and such are creeping in making each new piece better than the last) But I must ask have you considered using another medium other than coloured pencils?
