SciFi and Fantasy Art Blue Moon Faerie #2 by Lori L. Wraase

This is the second in a line of faeries called Moonlight Bay Faeries. She is a blue moon faerie which means she comes out during a blue moon to frolic and play in the magical waters of Moonlight Bay. This faerie is the first dancing faerie I have attempted. She is sculpted entirely by hand in polymer clay. Her eyes are hand painted. Her wings are colored clay. Her dress is clay with lace at the top. Her hair is viscose, and her headband is copper wire with silk and dried flowers.

The movement in this piece is wonderful...reminds me of a young girl at an ancient May Day festival...I could just see her dancing around the May pole... Lori L.
