Lori L. Wraase

Lori is a wife and mother who enjoys sculpting in her spare time.

My name is Lori Wraase. I've been sculpting fairies for about 5 years. My children are my inspiration. All my fairies have that special innocence that only a child can possess. I call them 'imaginary friends'. Right now I sell them at art shows and on e-bay under the user id imaginary-friends. You can check my current auctions by clicking on my homepage link. I hope to someday make a living doing what I love the most, sculpting.

These are really wonderful...i think the flower fairy and harvest moon fairy are my two favorites... i noticed you used two different types of clay in your work and i'm just curious what the difference is and how do you make them (are they dried? baked?... i obviously don't know anything about sculpting) i think these would sell really well at gardening type shops, or any kind of outdoor accessory store... great job!

OMG you should sell them 2 they are really good! I know poeple in Australia would buy them. Make them a little bigger & fairies will be taking over garden gnomes seriously they are so cute every girl would want one. I don't have a fave cause they all so cute in their own special cheeky faced ways! keep up the hard work

Wow...
All the pictures (statues) in your gallery deserve at least a mod's choice!

I looked at all your fairies, and they are SO fabulous! I admire sculptors, I could not do it in a thousand years.

Your fairies are really original, I like it that they're not the usual sexy-cute ones, but they have characters and depth. Great work!

My favourite is the old fairy, it's a wonderful idea to show age in something as ageless as a fairy.

I have to admit, I agree with Christina, you should definitely sell those adorable fellas, I am sure it would attract a lot of buyer. I know, I would buy some *^_^* They are just the cutest things, they are even better than folks made by Maureen Carlson in your own creative way. Keep it up!
