Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Opal, one of the gypsy elves. Quite different from both sea elves and wood elves, gypsy elves are those who have refused to adopt one particular place as theirs and instead wander high and low, enjoying all of creation and its many adventures. Gypsy elves take much more interest in the affairs of other races than their elven cousins, and are often found traveling in the company of men and dwarves. They're also more open to non-elven ideas and ways of life.

I grew up in a close knit family, and only in the last few years decided to strike out on my own. I travelled alone for some months, living what life brought me, until I met Khory. Ha! What a story our meeting would make. To put it bluntly, I saved her neck, though she'd never admit to that. Assassins are not fond of needing help, and still less fond of admitting they received it. But after a while we got to know each other. She's quite a decent sort of human, as far as assassins go.

We've been traveling together for, hmm, around 2 years now. She disappears for a few days at a time, whenever we come across a large city, but I don't ask questions. All I know is that she's watched my back through quite a few scrapes, and that's enough for me. My family wouldn't be too thrilled to know I'm associating with an assassin, but they haven't met Khory, she's different. I get the impression she does what she does because that's what she's good at, and she doesn't know what else to do with her life. I think she's had so much hate and pain in her past, it's hard for her to do anything else. But I'm working on her, hopefully I'll be a good influence.

Well, it was an honor to meet you. If you're a simple traveler, pass on friend and may the seasons be kind to you. If you're of a questionable sort, up to no good, beware. Stay away from me if you like that head of yours firmly attached between your shoulders!

***This is a picture I took of my sister (with her permission). She made the costume.***

Well, I do like this picture but I think I look really dumb with braces. I really liked what you did to the background. Makes it look more fantasyish.

:-) Lydia Thomas replies: "Naw, you look great, if you hadn't mentioned it, everyone would think they were fangs. I swear they look like fangs. And they are coming off soon, so be patient."

Goodle goodle
great outfit , swathes of material and colours
you guys can come to some garden elf parties

2 Lydia Thomas replies: "Thanks. My sister made the costume herself, but she's too lazy to make an elfwood account for herself, or else the picture would be in her gallery! But thanks a bunch for commenting."
