| 8 Aug 2005 | Pierre Stoltenfeldt | Loading...Eeek, silly me forgot to login! Anyway, there's one thing I wanted to add. I think the shading you did on that branch she's sitting on is better than in the rest of the picture. The leaves (who look pretty cool BTW) for example could use some of those deep shadows as well. Nevertheless it's a good picture, but I think I said that before ;D Lydia Thomas replies: "Thanks a bunch. I personally think this is one of my better pictures that has more than just a person. I don't really want a backround, i like it white. Thank you so much for commenting, It took a while to get the wings just right." | |
| 8 Aug 2005 | Pierre Stoltenfeldt | Loading...Yay! I really like how you made these wings look transparent. I bet that wasn't an easy thing to do. Their inner structure additionally makes them look 3-dimensional which I personally consider the picture's best feature. The tree looks quite okay - trunks are very hard to draw and you did a good job. A background would make the pic perfect Keep it up! | |
| 13 Aug 2005 | Jenn B Tomczak | Loading...I must say...the tree bark and leaves are absolutely stunning, as are the wings. Lovely work. Lydia Thomas replies: "Thanks a bunch" | |
| 19 Aug 2005 | Tone Ek Andreassen | Loading...This is really good!! The leaves looks so real, and the tree!! It makes a sweet and innocent effect that her feet is crossed! It looks like shes staring into the distance while thinking of everything and nothing! Lydia Thomas replies: "Yeah, something like that, I wanted a natural "I'm a cute little fairy" effect without getting too cute and cuddly (it needed to look real life). Thank you for commenting" | |
| 2 Sep 2005 | Joshua D. Weinberg | Loading...She IS clothed! I take it back, THIS is your best work. Cheers! *holds up a pint* Lydia Thomas replies: "Thanks a lot!" | |
| 10 Sep 2005 | Sarah Lee Williamson | Loading...Oh wow, i really like this one! it might be my favorite of your pics. That tree is so well done, I love the detail on bark and leaves. The fairy is so cute, her wings look as delicate as a spider's web. Lydia Thomas replies: "Thank you!" | |
| 17 Nov 2005 | Lauren | Loading...yeah, i think you're right about this picture, Lydia. i think it's better without the color. i like the sketch better than this one, but they're both real great!! i like the shade of the wings and the innocent twist in her feet, you know, like how the weelittle kids dangle their feet from a chair, well, it gives this picture a look of innocence about it. it's great!! Lydia Thomas replies: "Yeah, kind of like Jojo, only she's not innocent >" | |
| 18 Jun 2007 | Valarie FaerieLight Connell | Loading...WOW! I am honor that you would color this because of my request, thank you. I think you did a great job on it! keep it up your technique is growing! Good Luck! | |
