| A wierd poem about the Norse god of fire. |
|
Loki the Fire Giant
Look and see what is new in town.
A fiery man, so huge and the ground
Burns at his feet as the flames do leap
From body to tree and house they creep.
Oh how wide are the villagers' eyes.
Graced by a god, what a pleasant surprise.
They do not heed the damage he creates,
But run bearing gifts, some large and great.
Kind was the giant to the many admirers,
Teaching them talents as he inspired.
No trickery for this once; he did no wrong,
But something did go amiss outside the throng.
In the fire licked house down by the road
An old woman had sat there, we were told.
Now her ghost dwells there, for shame,
No one decided to check the houses that flamed.
