'So you'll be mate then,' Marina said grinning. 'Be your... what about Chinook!' 'I told him no thanks. I did the right thing, didn't I?' 'You're not allowed to be anyone's mate but mine,' said Shade, curving his wing around her and drawing her close. 'Good,' she said, her voice muffled against his fur. 'It worked out just right, then.' -Sunwing by Kenneth Oppel. The Silverwing books are brill!!!!! This is the last scene in the book, where Marina the brightwing bat and Shade the silverwing bat become mates. The silver streaks in his fur don't look too good because I drew them on in gel pen and the scanner didn't pick them out. So I had to do them in photoshop, and well I don't think I need to say any more.

Have U read the 3rd one yet (Firewing), well i just finished it a couple of months ago and it was so good!!! but I CRYED MY EYES OUT AT THE END WAAAAAAAHHHH!!!! just in case u neva read it yet i wont tell ya what happens. but i think it's the best book of the series yet!!! hope he makes more!!! This is the first Silver wing Fanart ive seen so far, course ive drawn sum of my own...it will be posted on my elfwood page...only a couple more days and it should be up. Cant Wait!! c YA LAYER Lyndsey Anne Green replies: "Aren't the books brill?! I have read Firewing, its soooooooooooo good! My fav was Sunwing though, I really hope he makes more! I've only ever seen little fanart for silverwing, its so sad! Cant wait to see your pics!!!!!"

12 Jul 2004	Erikka Tigergryph Dallmeyer	Loading... All i can say is that if you read the book, then you;; know that shade is actually smaller than marina so its temporarily out of context that you drew him bigger than her. But its still a good pic!
12 Jul 2004	The person with The Art stuff	Loading... You could have added shading in the drawings, make them look sorta real for a change. 29 Jul 2004	Shadow	Loading... Hey Good pictures some of the few silverwing fan-art iv seen you should draw more good job!!. oh and Erikka M. Dallmeyer, well this picture is at the end of sunwing, and around the end of the first book some one says(cant remember who) that shade has grownen a lot and is the same size as marina, and after that it doesnt really comment on his size so i would say its right. But yea Good job and keep it up!!

24 Dec 2005	Anonymous	Loading... Your picture, "A Happy ending," is very nice! However, I'm not sure which source you are basing the characters on. In other words, I'm not sure if your trying to draw the characters from the TV show, or from the covers of the books. I, personally, am no professional, but when I draw an animal, or house, or landscape (whatever the case may be,) I try to find a real picture of what I want to draw. If you want to draw a stylized image, simplify the drawing to your tastes. I hope this doesn't sound rude.
