| 22 Aug 2004 | Fashion and art police | Halt in the name of fashion and art sense! Though you have little in your gallery, I sense a great deal of imagination. I love the extensive detail and care you give to your work. Though there's not much here, it's obvious you’re one of three things: 1) Very new and still getting used to the system, 2) Are extremely picky and sometimes ditch a lot of scribblesly (which tends to be a bulk of what you draw), or 3) Both of those listed before. However, what I dislike so far is lack of color and background. Guns don't kill people, bad color does. The pictures that you have here do represent detail and lots of training, now, I believe, is the time to start training your other side (and I'm not talking hands). Work on your background for all our sakes. You have wonderful potential, but to make your work stand out and not look so dull, give it a background. Also, you seem to draw it as if it is on paper and that's it. Like a paper doll that has no life. By giving your art color, you put life and zest into it. Throw that damned smugger away, lock it up and use colored pencils more often. Make those things little stubs before the weeks over and they were just bought three days ago. I will definitely be coming back to view your gallery again and hope that things are going smoothly. Much luck and keep up the work! L. Sanders replies: "My my my, you had a lot to say! But thankyou, I love the review! I wouldnt know if this surprises you, but I do have colored pencils... prismas... and they are quite... stubbly. But rairly anything I color I am happy with, oh well. Anyways, Ive always had problems with backrounds, its just... embarasing when I try, but I should work on it. I will try, thankyou for the encouragment. " | |
| 22 Nov 2004 | Tsuki | If you don't like any of them that you use color on, give them to me pixi! luv yah! L. Sanders replies: "Oh my god, I would love it if you tell me what the heck your talking about!" | |
| 24 Nov 2004 | Tsuki | i'm talking about you're art you numb nut...you always say that you don't like the drawings that you use color on, so i'm telling you the same thing i have always told you, "Give them to me" (lol). L. Sanders replies: "Uh... no! Mine, all mine! Their to bad for you! Oh well, your weird, and your just going to steal them from me anyways!" | |
| 23 Dec 2005 | Muse | Lay off the smudge stick, it degrades your work. It is meant to be an accent tool, not a crutch. Yes, Yes, nice soft looking "shading" that is literally all one value. You lack depth. Buy yourself some real drawing pencils and some art books. When you can shade at your age level, you will no longer need the smudge stick. I'm sure you can do better than this. | |
| 3 Apr 2006 | Corey Black | The com from muse was harsh. Your young and have talent. Practice, play around with diff, mediums and styles of drawing. I suggest charcoal. Its messy but fun. Good luck and far thee well! | |
