My mother thinks it looks like Jesus. My father thinks it looks like Louis du Point du Lac. I think it was actually originally drawn as some sort of Seacreature.

WHOA. This is SCARY! *shudders* Very blank, very cold-feeling. Great mood portrayal!! I'm not sure if you were going for creepy but it really is- not in a bad way though. The whole piece just has this really eerie, melancholy mood. Great stuff! *whips out tambourine and does a first-comment wench cavort*

I sit in awe in front of my computer...
The empty eyes go really deep.

Oh by the way, what media did you use to make this? watercolours?

:-) Maartje Roest replies: "Yeah, I used watercolors."

Well, if your mother thinks it looks like jesus, she will probably not be religious. (I don't think any religious person would want a jesus without eyes)
This is eally a cool picture, I like the colour scheme you used for it, nice and fitting, really 'under the water'.
You wanted comments telling you how you could improve, you said?
well, I think the mouth is a bit small in comparison to the face, anatomical it isn;t totally right, but after all, he's not human. further, his eyes may be a bit too far apart, same story. But the rest is truly great, and your shading is making me so envious. I wish I was as talented.

I like this very much! Apart from being very well drawn, I like the idea. The colours really do look like its underwater. It reminds me of some kind of drowned soul sent back to haunt sailors, or some such thing!

3 Maartje Roest replies: "  Hadn't thought of that yet. That is kinda cool."
