Hey. This is Mike.
You're sketches are nice, but it seems you need to learn a bit more skill in drawing faces. Heh, even me. With more practice, your faces can be more proportionate.

The body proportions are good, but mostly the legs are lacking in a few pieces. Again, same with me, with more practice shall you become one with the pencil.

That's all, signing out.

:-) Meredith A. Bailey replies: "Yeah, still working on the whole proportion thing.... and foreshortening. Thanks for the tip."

Hi, I am also a victim of class boredom and an addict with mechanical pencil and ball point pen. I have only just recently been detoxicated locked in a room with only a computer.

:-) Meredith A. Bailey replies: "Isn't class doodling great? There's something so satisfying about it. Thanks for stopping by and leaving the comments!"

Merdith, you've got a great gallery, I enjoyed all of it. I left some comments on my favorite pics, but I liked all of them. I think it's cool that you draw in your spare time and that it isn't "what you do". This sometimes makes people really creative artists because they get inspiration from such obscure places. Anyway, keep up the awesome work, and get some updates in here girl!

:-) Meredith A. Bailey replies: "Thank you so much! I really enjoyed your visit, and your site, too! - and to anyone else reading this, go check out Peter's site for some absolutely phenomenal pen and ink and pencil work."

Hmm im gonna give you a nice comment, it is soo refreshing to see an artist who doesnt draw her females all naked or with their breasts hanging out. Its so nice to not have to be subjected to that all the time, so i msut say good job.

:-) Meredith A. Bailey replies: "Thank you - I always felt that women have just as much right to clothing as men..."

Woah!!Hold it, what is so wrong with the nude form? Male or female? It's the way we are born and why are we so ashamed of our bodies?

12 Meredith A. Bailey replies: "Ah, because I said they have as much right to clothing as men? I have nothing against nudes, male or female, but in terms of clothing as functional above formal (armor, for example), warrior-princesses in chain mail bikinis, while fun, are kind of silly. It's my annoying pragmatic streak, I guess. "

What a lovely gallery you have here! The picture of the gryphon really blew me away. I think someone already said it, but if you practiced a bit more on your human faces, it would add some realism and really improve your work. And I feel bad that you didn't think the art programs in elementary school were helpful, but I doubt they crushed creativity, etc. perhaps you just had a bad experience with the "system". Anyway, keep up the great work!!

Hi! I am also a sleepy college student and we happen to have the same name. Which I thought was kind of crazy, because it really isn’t a popular one. Anyways, just thought I’d drop a line to a fellow pragmatist. (mbaileyg@gmu.edu)
