What I originally had here: Boy, do I need to work on better titles....

What I have here now: The lack of detail and sketchy quality of this work has led a number of people to comment on it, so I guess this requires some word on its origins. It was one of my first fantasy drawings from about February 2001, done in probably around 20 min. while I was sitting in chemistry lecture. The lack of detail is most likely the result of having to take notes simultaneously (at the time, rather rare). It's done in mechanical pencil on a half-sheet of printer paper.

Woohoo. First comment. I love the little orb on her circulet; it's well done. The hair, too, seems very nice ^-^ The feet look better in this picture. Once again though, the nose prolly should come on line with the bottom of the nose and the hands need to be bigger. Another great job on the clothes. Keep up the good work ^-^

:-) Meredith A. Bailey replies: "Agreed. Her arm (the one under the cloak) is also bent in a manner that is really only possible if its broken in a few other places, too - or just absurdly short. Thanks for the advice!"

If you added some more detail this could really become an outstanding drawing

:-) Meredith A. Bailey replies: "Thanks! This is one from chemistry class my freshman year; evidently this day I actually had to take notes and/or pay attention, hence the lack of detail... ;-)"

Great shading on the skirt and bodice..the cloak almost seems like an afterthought, though. Or unfinished, maybe?

:-) Meredith A. Bailey replies: "Thanks! It definately could be reworked, but I have enough other projects absorbing my attention that this is certainly on the back burner. I honestly don't remember what I was thinking about when I sketched this! Acid and base chemistry, probably."
