A bit of concept art from a story I've been slowly toying with writing, once I have the time. It's a somewhat cliched tale of a girl of this world transported abruptly to another, where she learns that she's really marked by destiny/has great powers/is the Chosen One, etc. Sure, it's hackneyed, but it's for my own amusement... Anyway, this was also pretty much my first real attempt at drawing manga.

Sketched in pencil, scanned, and outlined and colored in Photoshop with nuthin' but a mouse. I wish I really knew the ins and outs of that program.

It may just be me, but the eyes make me feel that he is somehow connected to the rain and doing something with it... maybe how they both share the same hue. Anyway, great pic.
