Gosh... been quite some time since I've updated this. I think since the first time I joined, even. So, I was going through reading some stuff here now and thought "what the heck, I could try and get this train running again for real this time, eh?". I mean, I had meant to, really, but never got around to it. Had given it up for good around mid-2007. Perhaps it's time to reconsider now.
I've finished that biology course, and still plan to take music next - took tests for that this last december, even. Might have some more idea what to do for life - or the start of it in any case - now than before. Ought to, really. But we shall see how it goes, won't we?
Still quite interested in music in general, instruments, languages (care to exchange some knowledge of one? Show some poetry and translations to english in other languages? =D) and some other things. Oh, just noticed, there's some other place just for that, right? That'll go there later, then, once more.
Well, I'll really try to work on finding some old stuff that might come here, and writing something new as well. It's been too long since I've dedicated some time to writing, and I feel I shouldn't let that die. Hope people like whatever they get to see in here, at least a bit =)
InterestsWriting. Reading. Music. Languages. Biology. History. Poetry. Short stories. Comic writing. Parodies. Ironic-style writing. The sound of silence. The smell of rain. RPGs. Paprika Schnitzel. Gohan. Guitars. Pianos.
Stuff.
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Movies and TV ShowsHm... not as much a movie-guy as a book-bloke, but I guess there are some. Lord of the Rings were not bad at all... Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy was pretty good too.
Most historic stuff, especially war-related or warlike hook me up a bit too, even if they're not directly related to fantasy.
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi BooksLots of Neil Gaiman stuff. Lots of Terry Pratchett. Then, some other stuff as well, from quite a lot of people. E.A.Poe, for one, cannot be forgotten - even if I've read quite less of him than I should.
But really, Pratchett was a big, glad discovery. Did you ever read the Tiffany books, with the blue wee free men? You should =)
Favorite MusicLots of stuff, really! Classical, modern classical (think Debussy, Bartók, etc), even more modern classical (think Villa-lobos, twelve-tone guys, even eletroacustic folk), old hard rock, prog rock (Dream Theatre has brought my musical experience to a whole new level =D), some techno-like stuff, especially those that make you feel like you're going right out of yourself. Folk stuff. Celtic music. Japanese music. Most ethnic music. Brazilian music - the not-so-commercial-oriented ones, most of which get older and older by the minute. Celtic stuff played like punk. Ever listened to Flogging Molly? Songs in different languages. Sérgio Assad, and the Duo Assad.
Still other things, surely. A lot of things, did I mention? =)

| 9 Jun 2006 | Rebecca *Icini* Knifton | Loading...Your work is brilliant. It has great movement, and flows really well. They seem to be quiet deep, too. Meaningful. Keep up the good work.
From one lost soul to another. Thiago Macek G. Zahn replies: "Thanks a lot for the compliment! I’m glad someone actually liked it... and sorry for answering on the comment only so much after the fact - I’ve been all but completely absent from here for.... a couple years, almost! Gonna try to get back now, though. I hope we may speak again in time!" | |
