SciFi and Fantasy Art Birds Of a Feather by Jamison D. Madson

Not every dragon and drake that I draw happens to be a frothing beast though I think they're fun to draw that way. I decided to do a feathered drake in this case, and modeled this fellow off of a raven scince they're quite interesting and intellegent birds. I've also got tons of them where I live hehe. Here the feathered drake , Belial, is having a conversation with his good friend Abbadoth the Mystic. Anywho I completed this one with many a material, in this case a combination of pen and ink, micron, ink wash, brush tip markers and white charcoal for some highlights. As always, I am rather pleased with this one, comments are always appreciated.

This was a very well earned mods choice, and a color version would be PERFECT. Jamison D. Madson replies: "thank you, I may try a color version someday but seem to be a tad photoshop and digital color challenged oh well I'm a bit of an ink enthusiast anywho."

Madson replies: "hehe I get that sometimes, two last names or two first names whatever goes on. People call me james and sometimes Jamie oh well whatever floats their boat hehe."

And get the supplies to help me! But anyway again, very good job! Jamison D. Madson replies: "thank you for the compliment. I happen to live in the very far north often forgotten state of Alaska. there's ravens all over the place and I love to watch them."

And you're right, that raven looks mighty intelligent =P But can you tell me the difference between a Drake and Dragon? I've never quite found out ._. Congrats on Mods! ^_^ Jamison D. Madson replies: "thanks for the compliment it is well recieved. hehe I guess drakes and dragons aren't much different from one another. drakes tend to be a lessor species of dragon, most non winged dragon like creatures and non fire breathing reptilians would qualify in the drake area in my opinion. But, of course that's always up to your preception."
